“I don’t see any contradiction between playing a loud rock ’n’ roll song or a quiet acoustic ballad, if it’s all coming from a place that’s real and honest”
Rob Clancy is an award-winning singer, songwriter and musician from Philadelphia, PA. After a tenure of playing guitar and drums in various bands throughout the Philly area, Clancy decided to step out on his own and start a new band as singer/songwriter and frontman. In 2013 he formed the band Cold Roses, which would expand into a six piece rock and roll outfit featuring a horn section. The band would go on to become a staple in the Philly music scene, receiving airplay from radio stations like 93.3 WMMR and 88.5 WXPN, touring the country and playing festivals alongside major acts like Slash, Stone Temple Pilots, Modest Mouse and Bob Dylan. Cold Roses issued two independent records (“The Georgia Fugue (EP)” & “No Silence In The City”) and one label release (“Escape To Anywhere” ) that the group recorded in Los Angeles. Recently, the band decided to take a hiatus after years of touring and recording, and Clancy embarked on a thirty-city solo acoustic tour opening for Company of Thieves in May 2018. Clancy continues to write and perform as a solo act, and is currently recording an album of brand new material - writing, performing, engineering and producing it himself in his home studio. The album is set for release in 2019.
